Saudi Aramco said it is studying various options to allow broad public participation in its equity.

Saudi Aramco said it is studying various options to allow broad public participation in its equity.

One option includes the listing in capital markets “of an appropriate percentage of the company’s shares.” Another option is the listing of “a bundle” of Aramco’s downstream subsidiaries.

Once the study is complete, the findings will be presented to the board of directors, which will make recommendations to the Saudi Aramco Supreme Council.

The company said the study is consistent with the direction pursued by the kingdom for reforms, including privatization in various sectors of the Saudi Arabian economy and deregulation of markets.
