The Center for LNG (CLNG) formally became part of the Natural Gas Supply Association, and Charlie Riedl was named CLNG executive director and an NGSA senior vice-president.

The two groups previously announced that they were exploring a possible combination (OGJ Online, May 11, 2015).

“Joining the two associations exponentially increases the effectiveness of both organizations and gives CLNG an even stronger platform for its advocacy and education efforts,” said CLNG Chairman Richard Lammons, who also is commercial support and strategy manager at Chevron Supply & Trading Co.

“The associations have complementary missions and goals, with each organization promoting well-functioning markets and the economic benefits of LNG,” Lammons said.

Riedl previously was market development director at America’s Natural Gas Alliance, which became part of the American Petroleum Institute 2 months ago (OGJ Online, Nov. 18, 2015).
