Vicki A. Hollub was promoted to the positions of president and chief operating officer of Occidental Petroleum Corp., Houston.
As part of the previously disclosed succession plan, Oxy’s board also announced that Hollub will succeed Stephen I. Chazen as the company’s chief executive officer effective at the company’s 2016 annual shareholder meeting (OGJ Online, May 6, 2015).
Earlier this year, Hollub was appointed senior executive vice-president, Oxy, and president, Oxy Oil & Gas.
Oxy’s board also announced that Chazen will be nominated to the board for an additional term following his service as the company’s chief executive officer.
