CountryMark Refining & Logistics LLC (CRL), a member of CountryMark Cooperative Holding Corp., Indianapolis, has completed annual turnaround activities at its 27,360-b/d Mount Vernon, Ind., refinery.

This year’s turnaround, which focused on the facility’s crude unit and included routine inspections as well as upgrades, was completed by a team of CountryMark employees and 450 contract personnel that worked a combined 60,000 hr with no injuries recordable to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, CRL said.

Details regarding specific projects completed during the planned maintenance period were not disclosed.

During the previous year’s turnaround, which lasted 16 days, CRL completed installation of equipment upgrades, scheduled preventative maintenance, and mechanical integrity assessments designed to boost capacity of select units, increase operational efficiencies, maintain compliance with government regulations, and improve operational reliability, the company said in a Dec. 1, 2014, release.

CRL’s Mount Vernon refinery processes a feedstock of 100% local light, sweet crude delivered via truck and pipeline from the Illinois basin (southern Illinois, southern Indiana, and western Kentucky) to produce 450 million gal/year of finished fuel products distributed to markets in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky.
