Enterprise Products Partners LP (EPP) has signed an additional long-term contract to export ethane from its terminal under construction at Morgan’s Point, Tex. With the new agreement, volumes from EPP’s 200,000-b/d ethane export terminal are about 90% contracted.

EPP says the export terminal is on schedule to begin operations in third-quarter 2016, with capacity to load fully refrigerated ethane at rates up to 10,000 bbl/hr. EPP will supply the terminal, on the Houston Ship Channel, from its NGL fractionation and storage complex in Mont Belvieu, Tex., via a 24-in. OD, 18-mile pipeline currently under construction.
