The US Geological Survey issued a more fully documented analysis of 139 quantitative assessments of US unconventional oil and gas accumulations that it originally conducted from 2000 to 2011.

The new report, which it released on Oct. 20, documents those assessments more fully than previously done by providing detailed documentation of both the assessment input and output, USGS said.

“This report also compiles the data into spreadsheet tables that can be more readily used to provide analogs for future assessments, especially for hypothetical continuous accumulations,” it added.
