Holly Energy to buy half of Frontier Pipeline

Holly Energy Partners LP, Dallas, reported it would acquire 50% interest in Frontier Pipeline Co., owner of the Frontier Pipeline, from an affiliate of Enbridge Inc. No acquisition price was disclosed.

Frontier Pipeline will continue to be operated by an affiliate of Plains All American Pipeline LP, which owns the remaining 50% interest.

The 296-mile crude oil pipeline, which extends from Casper, Wyo., to Frontier Station, Utah, has a 72,000-b/d capacity.

Frontier Pipeline supplies Canadian and Rocky Mountain crudes to Salt Lake City refiners through a connection to the SLC Pipeline.
