Devon Energy Corp. has elected Dave Hager, most recently the company’s chief operating officer, as its president and chief executive officer. Hager succeeds John Richels, who announced plans to retire in December 2014 (OGJ Online, Dec. 4, 2014). Hager assumed the roles of president and chief executive officer on Aug. 1, the day after Richels’ retirement became effective.
Hager joined the Oklahoma City-based independent in 2009, when he was named executive vice-president of exploration and production.
