Lundin appoints president, chief executive officer

Lundin Petroleum AB reported that its board has appointed Alex Schneiter as president and chief executive officer following Ashley Heppenstall’s decision to step down from his position.

Lundin Petroleum AB reported that its board has appointed Alex Schneiter as president and chief executive officer following Ashley Heppenstall’s decision to step down from his position. Schneiter’s appointment is effective Oct. 1.

Heppenstall recently told the board of his decision to step down as president and chief executive officer. Heppenstall, who has held this position since 2002, will remain on the company’s board.

Schneiter has served as executive vice-president and chief operating officer since inception in 2001. Schneiter has been working for companies associated with the Lundin family since 1993.

Nick Walker, who recently joined the company as senior vice-president, development and operations, will assume the role of chief operating officer, also effective Oct. 1.
