JSC Gazprom Neft said a fourth well has been brought on production at Badra field in eastern Iraq, bringing total field output to 28,000 b/d (OGJ Online, Jan. 2, 2015).

The P-05 well almost doubled field production, Gazprom Neft said. Another well, P-04, is being brought online with an expected flow rate of 10,000 b/d.

By yearend, the number of drilling rigs at Badra is expected to increase to seven from three.

The field has been in commercial production since August 2014. Operator Gazprom Neft holds 30% interest in the field. Its partners include Iraqi Oil Exploration Co. 25%, Korea Gas Corp. 22.5%, Petronas 15%, and TPAO 7.5%.
