The American Petroleum Institute has opened a Denver office that will focus on oil and gas priorities in Colorado. Tracee Bentley, who previously was Gov. John W. Hickenlooper’s (D) legislative director and a senior advisor on energy and agricultural issues, was named the new Colorado Petroleum Council’s executive director.
“Colorado is at the forefront of American’s energy renaissance,” API Pres. Jack N. Gerard said. “The right energy policies are essential to maintain strong economic growth, which energy development is generating across the state.”
The council joins the Colorado Oil & Gas Association and Western Energy Alliance, which also represent the oil and gas industry in the state.
