Niko Resources appoints chairman, interim CEO

Niko Resources Ltd., Calgary, has appointed Kevin J. Clarke as chairman and interim chief executive officer. Clarke, who was appointed to the board in August, succeeds Wendell W. Robinson, who retired in September following the annual shareholder meeting.

During his 40-year management career, Clarke has led global high-performance organizations of as many as 15,000 people with more than $1 billion in sales and with manufacturing facilities across the US, Canada, and Latin America. From 2010 to 2013, Clarke was president and chief executive officer of Catalyst Paper. Previously Clarke held a variety of leadership positions at Worldcolor (Quebecor World) from 1986 to 2009, including group president, publishing services group, during 2008-09.
