Templar completes purchase of Granite Wash assets

Templar Energy LLC, Oklahoma City, has completed its acquisition of Granite Wash assets from Houston-based Newfield Exploration Co. for $588 million (OGJ Online, July 29, 2014).

Newfield says full-year net production from Granite Wash during 2014-16 would have represented 4 million boe, 3.1 million boe, and 2.7 million boe for each respective year. Adjusted for the sale’s closing date, this year’s net production impact is expected to be 1 million boe.

Newfield expects to update its 3-year plan in February 2015.
