MARKET WATCH: Oil, gas futures prices remain flat

The New York Mercantile Exchange November crude oil contract dropped 27¢ on Sept. 25, closing at $92.53/bbl. The December contract dropped 29¢ to $91.78/bbl.

The natural gas contract for October increased 6¢ to a rounded $3.97/MMbtu. The November contract increased 4.9¢ to a rounded $4.01. On the US cash market, gas at Henry Hub, La., was $3.88/MMbtu, up 4¢.

Heating oil for October delivery edged up less than a penny to a rounded $2.70/gal. Reformulated gasoline stock for oxygenate blending for October gained 5.42¢ to a rounded $2.72/gal.

The November ICE contract for Brent crude delivery rose 5¢, closing at an even $97/bbl, while The December contract edged up 1¢ to $97.63/bbl. The ICE gas oil contract for October gained $7 to settle at $813.75/tonne.

The average price for the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries’ basket of 12 benchmark crudes on Sept. 25 was $94.25/bbl, up 7¢.
