MARKET WATCH: Crude oil, natural gas futures end week higher

The natural gas contract for October rose 1.3¢ to a rounded $3.98/MMbtu, while the November contract was up 1.5¢ to a rounded $4.03. On the US cash market, gas at Henry Hub, La., was $3.90/MMbtu, tallying 2¢ more.

Heating oil for October delivery edged up less than half a cent to remain at a rounded $2.70/gal. Reformulated gasoline stock for oxygenate blending for October fell 5.61¢ to a rounded $2.66/gal.

The November ICE contract for Brent crude delivery was unchanged from Sept. 25, remaining at an even $97/bbl. The December contract also remained unchanged, sitting at $97.63/bbl. The ICE gas oil contract for October lost $1 to settle at $812.75/tonne.

The average price for the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries’ basket of 12 benchmark crudes on Sept. 26 was $94.13/bbl, down 12¢.
