MARKET WATCH: Crude oil futures prices hold steady above $102/bbl

The New York Mercantile Exchange September crude oil contract ticked up 2¢ on July 25, closing out the week at $102.09/bbl. The October contract increased 15¢ to $100.87/bbl.

The New York Mercantile Exchange September crude oil contract ticked up 2¢ on July 25, closing out the week at $102.09/bbl. The October contract increased 15¢ to $100.87/bbl.

The natural gas contract for August decreased 6.6¢ to a rounded $3.78/MMbtu. On the US cash market, gas at Henry Hub, La., edged down a penny to $3.79/MMbtu.

Heating oil for August delivery gained 4.48¢ to a rounded $2.92/gal. Reformulated gasoline stock for oxygenate blending for August delivery was up 2.85¢ to a rounded $2.87/gal.

The September ICE contract for Brent crude delivery rose $1.32 to $108.39/bbl. The October contract gained $1.24 to $108.70/bbl. The ICE gas oil contract for August increased $6.25 to $892/tonne.

A price for the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries’ basket of 12 benchmark crudes was not posted on July 25. It closed at $105.22/bbl on July 24.
