IOC names Malhotra as chairman

R.K. Malhotra has been named chairman of Indian Oil Corp. Ltd. He retains his title as director of IOC’s research and development division.

Malhotra, a mechanical engineer, has more than 37 years of research experience in the downstream petroleum business.

He succeeds R.S. Butola, who served as chairman from Feb. 28, 2011 to May 31, 2014.
