CNPC, Rosneft plan to push forward on Tianjin refinery project

China National Petroleum Corp. reported meeting with OAO Rosneft on May 15 to discuss “deepening strategic cooperation” in oil and gas.

China National Petroleum Corp. reported meeting with OAO Rosneft on May 15 to discuss “deepening strategic cooperation” in oil and gas.

CNPC said the companies compared notes on issues of mutual concern and made plans for “pushing forward” the Tianjin joint venture refinery project (OGJ Online, Sept. 2, 2010) in northern China.

Present for the meeting were CNPC Chairman Zhou Jiping; Rosneft Pres. and Chairman Igor Sechin; CNPC Vice-Pres. Wang Dongjin; Lin Aiguo, PetroChina chief engineer; and Wang Lihua, CNPC deputy chief economist.
