Ultra Petroleum selects senior vice-president

Ultra Petroleum Corp., Houston, has appointed Brad Johnson to succeed William Picquet, who will retire from the company at the end of the month, as senior vice-president, operations.

Ultra Petroleum Corp., Houston, has appointed Brad Johnson to succeed William Picquet, who will retire from the company at the end of the month, as senior vice-president, operations.

Johnson joined Ultra in 2008 as director, reservoir engineering and planning, prior to being named vice-president, reservoir engineering and development, in January 2011.

Before joining Ultra, Johnson served in various engineering and leadership capacities with Anadarko Petroleum Corp.

Picquet joined Ultra in 2005 as vice-president, operations, and was promoted to senior vice-president, operations, in 2011. Picquet will serve in a nonexecutive advisory capacity until his effective retirement date of Apr. 30.
