Millennium Pipeline appoints president

Millennium Pipeline Co. LLC has selected Joseph Shields as its president. He succeeds Rocco D’Alessandro, who held the position beginning in May 2012.

Shields previously served as Millennium’s president, during which time he optimized the pipeline’s strategic location, delivery points and status as a low variable-cost pipeline, for both Marcellus shale producers and local distribution companies throughout the Northeast, Millennium said.

Before returning to Millennium, he held various senior leadership roles at NiSource’s Columbia Pipeline Group, where his responsibilities included business development, customer service, operations, regulatory, and marketing areas.
