ETP to launch open season for service from Bakken, Three Forks

Energy Transfer Partners LP, Dallas, will launch a binding open season on Mar. 12 for crude oil pipeline transportation service from multiple receipt points in North Dakota to various Midwest and Gulf Coast refineries and terminals, including Sunoco Logistics Partners LP’s crude oil terminal in Nederland, Tex.

The Bakken and Three Forks formations are the largest continuous oil accumulation in the US, holding a combined mean total oil resource of 7.38 billion bbl (OGJ, Jan. 6, 2014, p. 48).
