Heating oil for January delivery edged down less than a penny to settle at a rounded $3.06/gal on NYMEX. Reformulated gasoline stock for oxygenate blending for January delivery also decreased less than a cent to remain at a rounded $2.72/gal.
The January natural gas contract on NYMEX declined 1.6¢ to settle at $3.96/MMbtu. On the US spot market, the gas price at Henry Hub, La., closed at a rounded $3.93/MMbtu, up 9.5¢.
In London, the January ICE contract for Brent crude oil fell 74¢, closing at $111.88/bbl. February’s Brent contract lost 70¢ to $111.43/bbl. The ICE gas oil contract for December tallied $1.50 to settle at $947.25/tonne.
The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries’ basket of 12 benchmark crudes closed at $108.92/bbl on Dec. 4, rising 86¢.
