Lukoil subsidiary Lukoil Overseas has chosen Vadim Voevodkin as vice-president, exploration. He will succeed Anatoly Katoshin, who has been appointed adviser to the president of Lukoil Overseas.
Voevodkin has served in specialist and management positions in the exploration and production divisions of Lukoil-Permneft since 1993. More recently, since 2002, he has served as head of the geological departments of Bitech-Silur, which is now a division of Lukoil-Komi in Pechora, and Lukoil-Perm.
Lukoil Overseas in October said its first exploratory well offshore Sierra Leone went to a total depth of more than 4,700 m and that the company identified oil-saturated reservoirs and took oil samples from Turonian sands (OGJ Online, Oct. 22, 2013).
