Gazpromneft-Vostok names chief executive officer

Gazpromneft-Vostok’s board has named Viktor Misnik as its chief executive officer.

Gazpromneft-Vostok’s board has named Viktor Misnik as its chief executive officer.

Misnik previously served as deputy chief engineer for new projects with Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz. From 2001-13, he was deputy chief executive officer for operations support and services with Servisnaya Burovaya Kompanaiya and chief executive officer of YamalServisTsentr. Before that he held executive positions with Noyabrskneftegaz.

Misnik in 2011 was awarded the title of Merited Oil and Gas Worker of the Russian Federation.

“Gazpromneft-Vostok’s long term-strategy has set an ambitious target of practically doubling its output within the next 6 years,” stated Vadim Yakovlev, Gazprom Neft’s first deputy chief executive officer.

He added, “Development of tight reserves remains one of the company’s strategic goals, including Paleozoic rock, the introduction of new efficient recovery technologies and the establishment of Competences Center which will focus on fissured reservoirs which could subsequently be used by other Gazprom Neft enterprises.”
