Obama to nominate Kornze as BLM director

US President Barack Obama is expected to nominate Neil G. Kornze as director of the Bureau of Land Management, which regulates oil and gas and other activities on federal land onshore. Kornze has been BLM’s principal deputy director since Mar. 1.

Before joining BLM in January 2011, Kornze was a senior policy advisor to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev).
