MARKET WATCH: Oil, gas prices end week flat

The New York Mercantile Exchange December crude contract gained 40¢ on Nov. 8, settling at $94.60/bbl. The January 2014 contract increased 41¢ to $94.95/bbl.

Heating oil for December delivery added 3.3¢ to settle at a rounded $2.87/gal on NYMEX. Reformulated gasoline stock for oxygenate blending for December delivery rose slightly more than 5¢ to a rounded $2.55/gal.

The December natural gas contract on NYMEX was up 4¢ to settle at a rounded $3.56/MMbtu. On the US spot market, the gas price at Henry Hub, La., was a rounded $3.53/MMbtu, a 2.2¢ loss.

In London, the December ICE contract for Brent crude oil jumped $1.66 to settle at $105.12/bbl. The January 2014 contract tallied $1.43 to $105.03/bbl. The November contract for ICE gas oil increased $4.50 to $893/tonne.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries reported its basket of 12 benchmark crudes was $102.12/bbl on Nov. 8, 52¢ lower than the previous day.
