Mozambique: Anadarko eyes geotechnical studies

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. has let a contract to Benthic, Houston, for a deepwater geotechnical investigation in support of the Prosperidade and Gulfinho gas developments offshore Mozambique.

Benthic’s portable remotely operated drill will perform rotary drilling, sampling, and in situ testing to penetration depths of as much as 100 m below the mudline 50-3,000 m of water.
