The NYMEX November crude contract gained $1.40 on Oct. 10, settling at $103.01/bbl. The December contract jumped $1.46 to $102.89/bbl.
Heating oil for November delivery increased by about 5.3¢ to $3.07/gal on NYMEX. Reformulated gasoline stock for oxygenate blending for November rose 7.5¢ to a rounded $2.70/gal.
The November natural gas contract was up 4.4¢ to a rounded $3.72/MMbtu on NYMEX. The December gas contract settled at a rounded $3.88/MMbtu, up 3.8¢. On the US spot market, the gas price at Henry Hub, La., was a rounded $3.75/MMbtu, up 4.5¢.
In London, the November IPE contract for North Sea Brent crude increased by $2.74 to settle at $111.80/bbl. The December contract for Brent rose $2.66 to $110.93/bbl. The October contract for gas oil was jumped $20.25 to $945.50/tonne.
The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries reported its basket of 12 benchmark crudes gained 75¢ on Oct. 10, settling at $107.69/bbl.
