MARKET WATCH: Crude oil futures prices end week flat

The New York Mercantile Exchange November crude contract climbed 14¢ on Oct. 18, settling at $100.81/bbl. The December contract added 24¢ to settle at $101.11/bbl.

Heating oil for November delivery gained about 4.5¢ to a rounded $3.04/gal on NYMEX. Reformulated gasoline stock for oxygenate blending for November climbed about 2.5¢ to a rounded $2.67/gal.

The November natural gas contract edged up by less than a penny to a rounded $3.76/MMbtu on NYMEX while the December contract increased by 1.1¢ to settle at a rounded $3.90/MMbtu. On the US spot market, the gas price at Henry Hub, La., was a rounded $3.72/MMbtu, losing 3¢.

In London, the December ICE contract for Brent crude oil jumped 83¢, settling at $109.94/bbl. The November contract for ICE gas oil improved by $7.75 to $939.25/tonne.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries basket of 12 benchmark crudes was $106.54/bbl on Oct. 18, giving up 48¢.
