Marcellus Shale Coalition names new president

The Marcellus Shale Coalition has named David Spigelmyer as the organization’s president.

Spigelmyer, who has spent 30 years in the energy industry, most recently served as vice-president of Chesapeake Energy Corp.’s Appalachia division, where he was responsible for government relations, regulatory policy, stakeholder engagement, and communications efforts. Prior to that, he occupied similar positions at EQT Corp. and Dominion Resources and held other energy industry-related positions in New York state as well as Washington, DC.

In 2010, MSC selected Kathryn Klaber as the organization’s first president and executive director shortly after MSC was established as an independent nonprofit organization and the third statewide industry association in Pennsylvania (OGJ Online, Jan. 13, 2010).
