Swedish independent Lundin Petroleum AB has appointed Paul Atkinson as general manager for Malaysia and managing director for the company’s Southeast Asia business, effective February 2014.
Atkinson has held various senior management positions since joining Talisman Energy Inc. in 2001, including most recently vice-president and general manager for Australia and Papua New Guinea. Before joining Talisman, he held various positions in Lundin Petroleum’s predecessor companies, including operations manager in Malaysia for Lundin Oil.
Lundin said Atkinson will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where the majority of the company’s Southeast Asia activities are concentrated.
