Lukoil picks onshore facilities contractor for N. Caspian oil

OAO Lukoil has selected the contractor for building onshore facilities to handle oil from its north Caspian fields.

ZAO NefteGazMontazh will construct intake, storage, metering, and transportation facilities for as much as 8 million tonnes/year in Kalmykia. The site is near the Komsomolskaya oil pumping station owned by the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, about 60 km from the Caspian coast.

The project includes four 20,000-cu m tanks and two pipelines to the oil pumping station. Completion is expected by mid-2015.
