KazMunaiGaz, Schlumberger sign MOU for Kazakh fields

KazMunaiGaz and Schlumberger signed a memorandum of understanding in Almaty for technical cooperation on six fields in Kazakhstan.

The fields are Botakhan, Karazhanbas, Kotyrtas North/Moldabek, Mokat East, Nurzhanov East/West (Prorva), and Kamyshitovoe Southwest.

The companies will cooperate in evaluating and optimizing oil and gas production and improving abandonment procedures. They also agreed on advanced training of KMG technical specialists at Schlumberger facilities and training centers.
