CNOOC starts Suizhong Bohai second phase oil output

CNOOC Ltd. said it has started oil production from its wholly owned Suizhong 36-1 Phase II adjustment project in 30 m of water in the southern part of the Liaodong Bay portion of Bohai in China.

The project involved construction of four new platforms, CNOOC said, but it did not specify the field’s oil production rate, which it said is expected to peak in 2014.
