China National Offshore Oil Corp. Ltd. said two oil fields have begun production.
Wenchang 19-1 North has three producing wells in the western Pearl River Mouth basin in 120-130 m of water. CNOOC has 100% interest.
Weizhou 12-8 West has five producing wells in Beibu Gulf basin in the southwest part of the South China Sea in 34 m of water. CNOOC has 51% interest. Partners are Roc Oil (China) Co., Horizon Oil (Beibu) Ltd., and Oil Australia Pty. Ltd.
