Uzbekistan: Chegara oil production enhancements approved

Uzbekistan has issued presidential approvals for the production enhancement contract for the Chegara group of oil fields in southern Uzbekistan, said Tethys Petroleum Ltd.

The company said it is working under the assumption that Chegara wells will generate positive cash flow in the near future. The project to enhance oil production from fields in the country’s Bukhara-Khiva region is to be carried out under a contract between Tethys Petroleum subsidiary Chegara Production Ltd., JSC Uzneftegazdobycha, and JSC Uznefteproduct.
