Tunisia: Petroskandia to explore northwestern block

Petroskandia AB, Stockholm, has been awarded operatorship and a 50% interest in the 4,956 sq km Teboursouk block in Tunisia.

Petroskandia AB, Stockholm, has been awarded operatorship and a 50% interest in the 4,956 sq km Teboursouk block in Tunisia.

The initial 5-year term may be extended to 8 years. Petroskandia committed to shoot 250 line-km of 2D seismic and drill one exploratory well within 5 years. Tunisia’s state ETAP owns the other 50% interest.

Teboursouk is onshore northwestern Tunisia in Jendouba governorate and west of the producing Utique gas field. The objective is an undisclosed formation that Petroskandia said has yielded large discoveries in Algeria and Italy.
