Midstates Petroleum names senior vice-president, exploration

Midstates Petroleum Co. Inc. has named Greg Hebertson as senior vice-president of exploration.

Hebertson has 20 years of global upstream experience in both technical and management roles around the world, including multiple onshore US Lower 48 basins, Alaska, the Gulf of Mexico, as well as Canada, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America. Most recently he served as vice-president, global exploration, new ventures, for Talisman Energy Inc. where he was employed from August 2011 to May 2013. Prior to Talisman, Hebertson worked at Anadarko Petroleum Corp. for 17 years where he most recently served as general manager, Latin America exploration.

Midstates Petroleum is an independent exploration and production company focused on the application of modern drilling and completion techniques to oil-prone resources in previously discovered yet underdeveloped hydrocarbon trends.
