Royal Dutch Shell PLC said Ann Pickard, currently vice-president, Australia and New Zealand, upstream international, will be moved to the position of executive vice-president, Arctic, upstream Americas, effective June 1.

Pickard has been supervising Australian gas export projects for Shell. She will oversee Pete Slaiby, vice-president, Alaska exploration.

Previously, Shell announced it was putting on hold its summer drilling program in the US Arctic Ocean because of damage to rigs capable of operating in harsh conditions (OGJ Online, Feb. 27, 2013).
