Sajjad named chief executive of Gulfsands

Mahdi Sajjad has been named chief executive of Gulfsands Petroleum PLC, London, replacing Ric Malcolm, who resigned. Sajjad has been executive director and president.

Gulfsands has exploration and production interests in Syria, Tunisia, Colombia, and Morocco, which it entered in January with the acquisition of Cabre Maroc Ltd. from Caithness Petroleum Ltd. (OGJ Online, Feb. 1, 2013).
