The IM-5 well reached the Middle Isongo primary objective and encountered liquids-rich hydrocarbon-bearing pay in both Middle Isongo and the Intra Isongo reservoir objectives based on the results of drilling, core analysis, wireline logs, fluid samples, and pressure data. TD is 3,430 m measured depth in 56 m of water.

The company continues efforts to finalize the gas sales heads of terms with Ferrostaal GmbH and obtain an exploitation authorization from the government.

The well intersected a 33-m log evaluated gross hydrocarbon interval in Middle Isongo with an estimated 25 m of net pay. Logs indicate a hydrocarbon-water contact at 3,360 m MD, extending and deepening the hydrocarbon column encountered at the IM-3 well by 93 m. A further 20 m of reservoir quality sands were encountered beneath the HWC, and the well was still in sand at TD.

Core analysis and fluid samples confirm the presence of liquids-rich hydrocarbons. Initial sample analysis suggests a liquids-to-gas ratio in the region of 150 bbl/MMscf.

In the Intra Isongo the well intersected a log-evaluated gross hydrocarbon interval of 80 m in reservoir sands that correspond to the seismic event identified before drilling. Net pay is estimated to be 70 m, and no HWC was encountered.

Fluid samples acquired during logging activities confirm the presence of liquids-rich hydrocarbons. Initial sample analysis suggests a liquids-to-gas ratio in the region of 200 bbl/MMscf.

In the Upper Isongo the well intersected 32 m of high-quality reservoir sands which log evaluation indicates are water-bearing as predicted. Sand thickness and quality were consistent with pre-drill expectations.
