    Nigerian company Dangote Group has selected Engineers India Ltd. (EIL) for project management consultancy (PMC) and engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) for a refinery and polypropylene plant in Nigeria.
  • 11/25/2013 -- Orpic lets contract for Omani refinery expansion
    State-owned Orpic of Oman has awarded oil and gas services providers Petrofac and Daelim Industrial Co. Ltd. a construction-related contract for the improvement of its 116,000-b/d Sohar refinery about 230 km northwest of the Omani capital of Muscat.
  • 11/21/2013 -- Samref lets engineering contract for Yanbu refinery
    Saudi Aramco-Mobil Refinery Co. Ltd. (Samref), a 50-50 joint venture of Saudi Aramco and ExxonMobil Corp. subsidiary Mobil Yanbu Refining Co. Inc., has let a 5-year framework contract to Kentz Corp. Ltd. for general engineering services at the Samref refinery in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.
  • 11/20/2013 -- Chevron lets automation contract for Texas petchem project
    Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LLC has selected Yokogawa Electric Corp. as the main automation contractor for its petrochemical complex along the Texas Gulf Coast.
  • 11/19/2013 -- Explosion hits Total’s Belgian refinery
    Total SA reported an explosion occurred early in the afternoon on Nov. 19 in one of the installations at its 338,000-b/d Antwerp, Belgium, refinery.
  • 11/19/2013 -- Utah approves HollyFrontier’s refinery expansion
    The Utah Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality (UDAQ) has approved HollyFrontier Corp.’s proposed heavy crude processing project at the company’s 31,000-b/d Woods Cross refinery, north of Salt Lake City.
  • 11/18/2013 -- Chevron’s Pascagoula refinery running at normal rates
    Chevron Corp’s 330,000-b/d Pascagoula, Miss., refinery is operating at normal rates following a Nov. 15 fire at a furnace in the Cracking II unit area of the plant.
  • 11/13/2013 -- Citgo restarts atmospheric distillation unit at Lemont
    Citgo Petroleum Corp. has successfully resumed operations at the atmospheric distillation tower of its 167,000-b/d Lemont, Ill., refinery following a fire that damaged the crude unit late last month.
