    Saratoga Resources Inc., Houston, has dually completed its QQ-25 Roux Toux well in Main Pass Block 47 field on State Lease 195 in the Gulf of Mexico offshore Louisiana and tied it back to the company’s Grand Bay production facility.

    Talisman Energy Inc. is setting its short-term priority on developing liquids in the South Texas Eagle Ford liquids shale play and also on drilling to hold strategic land positions in some of its dry gas plays, Talisman Pres. and Chief Executive Officer Hal Kvisle said in a Mar. 6 webcast with investors.

  • 02/19/2013 -- Sinjhoro gas field starts up in Pakistan
    State-owned Oil & Gas Development Co. of Pakistan and partners have started production from Sinjhoro natural gas field about 65 km northeast of Hyderabad City, Pakistan (OGJ Online, Sept. 4, 2009).
  • 02/15/2013 -- US drilling rig count gains 3 units to 1,762
    The US drilling rig count increased by 3 units during the week ended Feb. 15, with the total number of rotary rigs reaching 1,762, Baker Hughes Inc. reported. That compared with 1,994 rigs working in the comparable week last year.
  • 02/12/2013 -- EIA forecasts 90.2 million b/d of liquid fuels consumption this year
    Worldwide liquid fuels consumption is expected to reach 90.2 million b/d this year and 91.6 million b/d in 2014, according to the latest Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO) from the US Energy Information Administration.
