Petroleo Brasileiro SA said its Colombian subsidiary has tested a discovery in the Upper Magdalena Valley at the rate of 500 b/d of 23.9° gravity oil.

Petrobras Colombia drilled the Guando SW-1 well to 1,576 m on the operated Boqueron block, on which 12 years ago the company discovered giant Guando field, one of Colombia’s largest discoveries in recent years, at which oil production continues. The site is in Tolima Department 100 miles southwest of Bogota.
