Total acquires 75% of two Kazakh blocks

Total SA will shoot a seismic survey and drill a well next year on acreage in Kazakhstan in which it has acquired a 75% interest.

The company will be operator of two onshore blocks, called North and South, covering 14,500 sq km in the southwestern part of the country.

Kazakh Co. Nurmunai Petrogas LLP was the previous operator.
