Norwegian Energy Co. ASA has spudded the 7228/1-1 exploratory well on the Eik prospect in the Barents Sea offshore Norway.
Eik is in the PL396 license 200 km northeast of North Cape. License interests are Noreco operator with 50%, Front Exploration AS 33%, and Petoro ASA 20%.
