Seadrill announces contracts for three jack up rigs

Seadrill Ltd. announced contracts for the three jack up rigs: Offshore Mischief, Offshore Defender, and West Leda. The three contracts have an aggregated revenue potential of $311 million including mobilization fees and assignment-specific rig modifications.

Brunei Shell Petroleum Co. Sdn. Bhd. hired Offshore Defender for drilling offshore Negara Brunei Darussalam, which is in northwestern Borneo. The 4-year contract is expected to commence in the second quarter. The rig currently is operating in Brazil.

Equion Energia Ltd. plans to use Offshore Mischief in Colombia. The assignment is for a firm period of 180 days with operations starting late first quarter. Seadrill said this agreement is a continuation of the rig's existing contract.

ExxonMobil E&P Malaysia Inc. hired West Leda for a development drilling offshore Malaysia. The assignment is for a firm 18 months starting in late March. This continues its current contract.
