  Plains All American Pipeline LP’s wholly owned subsidiary Plains Gas Solutions LLC (PGS) plans to build a cryogenic gas processing plant with deep cut ethane plus recoveries and specification product fractionation capability at its multiproduct Ross complex near Ross, ND.

  EQT Corp., Pittsburgh, has reported yearend 2011 reserves of 5.365 tcf equivalent compared with 5.22 tcfe a year earlier as it emphasizes Marcellus shale drilling and phases out Huron operations during 2012.

  Dejour Energy (USA) Corp., Denver, said estimated ultimate recovery at its Kokopelli gas development project in the Piceance basin is expected to be 1.125 bcf/well of wet gas generating a sales stream of .98 bcf of dry gas plus 90,000 bbl of natural gas liquids and condensate.

  CBM Asia Development Corp., Vancouver, BC, has signed a heads of agreement with PT Tranaco Utama, a private Indonesian company that holds first rights to undertake a production sharing contract for a 1,500 sq km coalbed methane block in Kalimantan, Indonesia.

  The environmental regulatory system for Canadian oil sands is similar in rigor to mining and oil operations in South Australia and Alaska, according to a new report by analyst IHS CERA.
• 01/23/2012 -- Chesapeake cuts operated dry gas drilling rig count
  Chesapeake Energy Corp. announced plans to cut its operated dry gas drilling rig count to 24 rigs, a decline of 50 rigs from its 2011 average operated dry gas rig count, citing “the lowest natural gas prices in the past 10 years.”
