    A study commissioned by Plains Exploration & Production Co. concluded hydraulic fracturing of two test wells at Inglewood oil field in Los Angeles County, Calif., indicated no detectable evidence that it might induce earthquakes or have negative consequences on groundwater quality, a consultant reported.

    Rex Energy Corp., State College, Pa., is pursuing liquids potential of several Devonian-age formations in Ohio and Pennsylvania, including the Utica shale, Upper Devonian Burkett shale, and the Upper Devonian Rhinestreet shale.
  • 08/20/2012 -- BLM releases EA for proposed North Dakota crude oil pipeline
    The US Bureau of Land Management has released an environmental assessment of Bakkenlink Production LLC’s proposed crude oil pipeline across North Dakota and will accept public comments on it through Sept. 15, the agency’s Dickinson, ND, field office said.
