• 03/02/2012 -- US drilling rig rises by 8 units to 1,989
  US oil and gas drilling activity this week increased by 8 units to 1,989 total rigs working. The rig count for the week ended Mar. 2 was up by 282 rigs from the comparable period a year ago, Baker Hughes Inc. reported.
• 03/05/2012 -- Petrobras starts Santos presalt 6-month well test
  Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has hooked up the RJS-647 presalt well for a 6-month test in the Iracema area of the BM-S-11 concession in the Santos basin offshore Brazil.
• 03/05/2012 -- Groups to jointly develop fields offshore Norway
  Lundin Norway AS and partners have reached agreement with Det norske Oljeselskap (DNO) ASA to coordinate development of Luno and Draupne oil and gas fields in the North Sea offshore Norway.
• 03/06/2012 -- Harvest negotiating to sell Venezuelan interests
  Harvest Natural Resources Inc., Houston, has begun exclusive negotiations with a third party for a specified time period for the possible sale of Harvest’s 32% interest in Petrodelta SA, its Venezuelan asset.
• 03/06/2012 -- Comments open on Frontier oil sands project
  Alberta’s Energy Resources Conservation Board has opened applications for the Frontier Oil Sands Mines Project for comment after the operator agreed to a deal that would give it 100% interest in the development about 100 km north of Fort McMurray.
• 03/09/2012 -- CNRL on schedule to restart Horizon bitumen upgrader in March
  Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. drilled a record number of wells and achieved record quarterly production totaling more than 657,000 boe/d during fourth-quarter 2011, and plans are on schedule for the Horizon bitumen upgrader to resume full operations by the end of March.
• 03/09/2012 -- US drilling rig count falls 16 units
  US oil and gas drilling activity this week decreased by 16 units to 1,973 total rigs working. The rig count for the week ended Mar. 9 was up by 258 rigs from the comparable period a year ago, Baker Hughes Inc. reported.
• 03/12/2012 -- Anadarko sees 100-200 MMcfd from Mozambique well
  The first flow test of an Anadarko Petroleum Corp. well offshore Mozambique has provided “confidence in well designs that are capable of 100-200 MMcfd,” the company said.  
• 03/12/2012 -- Review starts of Laricina's Germain expansion
  Alberta’s Energy Resources Conservation Board has begun its review of applications by Laricina Energy Ltd. for expansion of the Germain commercial demonstration oil sands project in the west Athabasca region.
• 03/12/2012 -- Anadarko starts Caesar/Tonga Green Canyon oil flow
  An Anadarko Petroleum Corp. group has started oil production from its Caesar/Tonga development in the Green Canyon area of the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
